iFormats (X)

Converts QuarkXPress display adverts into Internet formats, such as PDF, JPG, EPS, TXT. The conversion is performed automatically under supervision of iFormats (X).

Brief Description

iFormats (X) must be placed on the list of "System Preferences > Login Items", i.e. it will be automatically launched after switching the computer on. It should stay on the Dock active all the time. If accidentally closed, the application must be activated again.

The programme checks the clock and activates once a day at the same time, defined by variable "Clock", which can be found in the iFormats (X) file.

The list of display adverts to be processed is taken by the programme from the "Items.txt" file.

which works like a washing mashine. Textual files imported from: Internet sites, e-mails, spreadsheets, word processors, DTP systems, etc. are recognized, cleaned up, rinsed, and dried.

Any file copied to the "Dirty Stuff" folder will be processed by Cleanomat (X) and moved to the "Clean Stuff" folder in the In Design Tagged Text format.

BCmaker (X)

"Bar Code Maker"
Macintosh OS X application.
Creates PDF files with 13-digit bar codes. The files are suitable for most DTP systems, including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator.

Brief Description

BCmaker (X) will create for you bar codes in PDF format, i.e. of highest quality, small in size and imported by most DTP systems. It is easy to operate the application - just imagine - launch it, select first part of a bar code from a pop-up list of producers, and type 6 digits of the second part of the bar code. Obviously, there are more functions of the application.

The textual file "BCmaker.ini" contains information deciding how BCmaker (X) runs.

(1) List of fonts, and heights of characters.

(2) Current ID of producer database record.

(3) Records of the database of producers and parameters setting.

Each producer must have an unique ID, which should be short and contain letters only. The ID will be used to name files. Additionally, the second part of a bar code and colour code will name files. For example, "SM123456CM.pdf" means that producer ID is "SM", the second part of the bar code is "123456" and the bar code is printed in blue (100% cyan and 100% magenta) colour.

Stamper (X)

"Date Stamp Maker"

Creates files in InDesign Tagged Text Format. The files can be linked to InDesign documents, and updated automatically.

Brief Description

Stamper (X) must be placed on the list of "System Preferences > Login Items", i.e. it will be automatically launched after switching the computer on. It should stay at the Dock active all the time. If accidentally close, the application must be activated again.

Stamper (X) offers three main functionalities.

(1) Date stamps in different formats and styles.

(2) Snapshot of the selected record of the Stamper.tsv database.

(3) Create Date and Modify Date of listed InDesign documents.

The textual file "Stamper.ini" contains information deciding how Stamper (X) runs.

(1) Definitions of date stamp styles.

(2) Available date formats.

(3) Available fonts and typefaces.

(4) Snapshot typography.

(5) Listed InDesign documents.

(6) Create Date and Modify Date style and typography.

You may edit the file, but please make a copy of the current version, in case something goes completely wrong.
